Barrington Area Spring Bird Walks and Hikes

Get to know nearby nature with Barrington area naturalist Wendy Paulson

Walks are free and open to the public, though spaces are limnited and RSVPs are required.

Waterproof boots are strongly recommended for these hikes. Don't forget your binoculars!


April 4th
-   8:00 a.m. - Beese Park (Meet at Beese Park, east end of Cornell Avenue)

April 18th - 8:00 a.m. - Beese Park (Meet at Beese Park, east end of Cornell Avenue)

April 25th - 7:30 a.m. - Baker's Lake (Parking lot on Highland Avenue, south of Hillside Avenue)

May 9th -    7:30 a.m. - Beverly Lake (Parking lot off Rt. 72)

May 16th - 7:30 a.m. - Baker's Lake (Parking lot on Highland Avenue, south of Hillside Avenue)
                                     * Jenny Vogt will be leading the walk in place of Wendy

May 23rd - 7:30 a.m. - Penny Road South * (Meet at Penny Road Pond parking lot, less than a mile west of Old Sutton/Penny Road intersection)

May 30th - 7:30 a.m. - Galloping Hill * (Meet at Penny Road Pond parking lot)     

June 13th - 7:00 a.m. - Galloping Hill * (Meet at Penny Road Pond parking lot)

June 15th - 5:30 p.m. - Longmeadow * (North side of Longmeadow Drive off Bateman Road)

* Indicates a more strenous hike
